Head for the border
At Texoma, the Texas-Oklahoma border, the overgrown grass and weeds that line the side of I-40 from just east of Albuquerque through Texas suddenly disappear. In their place, one finds neatly mowed grass and weeds. This continues at least as far as Oklahoma City, and I imagine that it doesn't end until the other side of the state. Welcome to Oklahoma. ...the lawn-mower state?
